Sovereign House – HealthCare NZ

Client: Anaro Investment Group

Project Manager Stimpson & Co Ltd
Architect Wright & Gray Architects Ltd

In early 2018, CCi partnered with Stimpson & Co to complete the Healthcare NZ (HCNZ) fitout at Sovereign House 34 Manners St, Wellington.

The HCNZ fitout consisted of a basebuild upgrade and refurbishment element for Anaro Investments and the 3-floor fitout of levels 2, 12 and 13 for HCNZ, which also had an existing tenancy on level 7.

CCi worked with Stimpson & Co on the ECI process for both Anaro and HCNZ.

Wright & Gray Architects Ltd lead to the client briefings and design stages working with both Anaro and HCNZ.

CCi provided preconstruction services such as: cost planning/budgeting; construction planning, which included creating and implementing a programme for the project from ECI to completion; providing construction methodologies; and buildability through the ECI phase. This included, working with the supply chain on long lead time and availability of materials. There were a number of iterations of the initial concept and developed design stages until the pre-construction planning team managed to get to a budget number that would reflect both clients’ expectations for the scope od of works.

This project demonstrated that when you work through an ECI process well and get the planning right, the construction phase flows a lot smoother and copes with any discoverable items. This project met budget expectations and was completed within the agreed time frames.
